Reverie was established by Elad Tall and Ido Oz, luthiers, music producers and art directors, with vast
experience and deep love for the world of sound.
The road leading to founding Reverie was paved in many years of research into the origins of the
guitar sound how it’s been expressed in the building process of the classical guitar in the 19th
century, through the evolution of the pickup and the electric guitar, to the sound of the electric
blues, all the way leading up to the latest progressions in the guitar world concerning ergonomics
and modern music production, all the time keeping in mind their strong roots and connections to
vintage sound and classical music.
Along the way examining the principles of sound design in guitars in accordance to specific behavior
of components and materials that comprise the instrument,
our goal was to develop methods in manipulating wood and building components in order to
achieve the ultimate results in categories such as dynamics, frequency response, ergonomics,
playability and aesthetics.
This unique journey guided both Elad and Ido into the creation of
Sugar Mama and Flora.
These instruments bring two significant perspectives regarding essences of the ultimate vintage
sound, while in the building process we use traditional carving and tuning techniques inspired by the
golden era builds and classical instrument lutherie.
This combination presents instruments with extraordinary dynamic responsiveness, which produces
a rich detailed sound that brings out their acoustic qualities.
Reverie instruments are made with enthusiasm, love and care, marrying those elements with fine
thoughtful workmanship of lutherie.
Our instruments are made by hand. We handpick our woods according to structure, tone and aesthetics.
Each guitar top going through a rigorous tuning process that combine traditional and original carving and bracing techniques that we have adapted and developed in order to emphasize the vintage feel of our instruments and highlighting rich acoustic qualities.
The Pickups are handmade in house, designed in order to express the unique voice of each
instrument and to give sensational playing dynamics.
Implementing a fusion of original and traditional finishing techniques resulting in a thin, yet stable
nitro finish granting the musician a wonderful sense of comfort and allow the instrument to
resonate at its best.
Carefully selected bridges and tuning machines from the best manufacturers in the world.
Our Tailpieces are made in house.
There is no similar experience to a musician connecting with a guitar that not only plays
magnificently, but also is stunning to the eye. This connection sparks inspiration and motivation to create.
This is exactly the enthusiasm that drives us in every build.
Every visual design element in our instruments have been developed over time with passion in order
to serve our sound vision.
Our main goal was to create a unique prestigious look that gives a classical feel communicating with the sound.
Starting From the unique headstock design, through the refreshing yet classic body shape, to the
elegant tailpiece and knobs, and finally the unmatched paintwork and finish, Reverie guitars inspire creation.
Despite working non-stop on technical details, design and development of electric and hardware
components, our prime and most important duty is to create instruments that will manifest
inspiration into making music.
The main question that guides us all the way through the building process is how the instrument will
perform in the best way for the artist. We examine each single detail in real time performance by
working in collaboration with professional musicians and producers.
We adore music! we fell in love with the guitar world through all those musicians that make this
incredible instrument immortal.
This adoration has navigated and supported us throughout our design and building pipeline.
